When the United States gets apathetic about one of its own wars, you know people are jaded.
Part of me wants to feel rage at this, but I don't. I've heard news about the Iraq war every day for the past five years. Unless Bush and Cheney are tossed out of Washington, there will be five thousand dead instead of four thousand.
There is something disastrous about the fact that people are either too angry or not angry enough about this to not feel the appropriate rage.
