I just got done watching a new episode of the Daily Show, now watching the Colbert Report. Based on these, I can confidently predict that the TV producers are going to give into the striking writers. The episodes aren't bad, but the carefully scripted jokes are gone, and more importantly, the unscripted jokes are mostly about the strike--and more sympathetic to the strikers. This has got to be a huge embarassment to the TV producers.
In other news, like so many people Andrew Sullivan looks a lot nerdier in real time, especially in contrast to the macho-looking that he occasionally posts online.

Dude, the producers of the daily show and the Colbert Report attempted to make a deal to give the writers what they're asking for, like the Letterman deal. The writers balked.
Which is reason for them to give in to everyone.
What should be more embarrassing to the AMPTP is the fact that in order to garner ratings during the strike, Television has brought back American Gladiators.
That alone shows there is no shame among tv execs.
This strike will last till Jesus returns.
They may be pretty stupid, but they're not entirely stupid. One day they will be embarrassed even by American Gladiators.
Your lips to God's ears. Er . . . you know what I mean.
Sadly, I don't think most of America watches The Daily Show or Colbert. They watch crap. It's when they run out of crap and have to appease the crap hungry masses that you'll see the producers give in.
The question is how long can America go before they yearn for 30 minutes chunks of sitcom crap and laugh tracks? Steroid freaks, song and dance competitions and game shows won't appease them forever.
Re: God's ears
Well, I didn't know what you meant, I had to Google it, but thanks anyway.
